How do I tell which factory lower control arms does my 2014-18 GM 1500 have?
GM used several different control arm and spindles during the 2014 to 2018 model years. The balljoints are different sizes so the parts can't be interchanged. For parts requiring spindles we are asking you to confirm your factory control arm type so we can ensure that you get the correct parts. Please see the notes on identifying your control arms below.
As a general rule 2014 to 2016 GM Silverado/Sierra 1500 models could use any of the 3 styles of control arms and 2016 to 2018 models use aluminum control arms.
