Important Kit Notes

  • 1. Will not fit Adaptive Ride Control (ARC) equipped models
  • 2. Factory 17" and 18" wheels cannot be reinstalled due to tie rod end interference, stock 20" wheels can be reinstalled.
  • 3. 17" wheels with 4.5" backspacing should be test fit prior to mounting the tire to ensure proper clearance to the steering knuckle / tie rod.
  • 4. Front skid plate will not work with 2.7L Turbo Engines.

These PE coilover systems join the current lineup offering improved performance and capability. These kits are based around the tried and true high clearance technology that has made BDS the go to for GM suspension lifts, designed from the ground up to get the more out of your truck with the most ground clearance on the market. While some companies build "kits" to fit larger tires, BDS Suspension prides itself in engineering complete suspension systems designed to take your vehicle's performance to the next level while retaining OE-level functionality. Case in point the (NHTSA) National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's FMVSS No.126 compliance standards requiring any aftermarket modification to not adversely effect the vehicle's electronic stability control (ESC) system performance in the event of an evasive maneuver.

At the heart of these systems are a pair of precision tuned FOX 2.5 performance elite series coilovers engineered to outperform on and offroad as they soak up the terrain. These coilovers are preset for the correct lift height right out of the box to provide optimal performance and direct bolt-in replacement for the factory strut assemblies. They feature a smooth bore and honed seamless aluminum body for better heat dispersion, 7/8" hardened steel carbon shaft, Eibach coil springs and black anodized machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum mounts along with remove reservoirs optional DSC (dual speed compression) adjustment technology built in. DSC allows for easy adjustment of the vehicle's suspension compression dampening so you can dial in the ideal ride performance to soak up the bumps, both large and small. The DSC has 12 adjustment points for the high speed compression as well as 10 adjustment points for the low speed compression allowing you to make large or small changes to further improve your performance. Adjustments can be made by simply twisting the knobs located on the end of the reservoir. No tools or shop adjustments needed, allowing you to tune the suspension out on the trail. A pair of reservoir mounting brackets are supplied to position the reservoirs. Complimenting the coilovers, BDS utilizes a pair of specially designed 1/4" thick laser cut high clearance crossmembers to maximize clearance and provide a solid mounting point for the OE lower control arms. These paired with the 3-piece heavy duty front skid plate system create a rigid subframe while adding protection for vital steering and driveline components. In place of the factory steering knuckles a pair of specially designed ductile iron replacement steering knuckles are supplied to maintain proper steering geometry for ESC system compatibility. These connect to the factory steering with a pair of heavy duty replacement tie rod ends included in the kit. The front differential is repositioned with BDS's multipoint relocation bracket system tying into the frame and control arm pockets to further secure the front differential to keep CV axle angles at a minimum. A billet aluminum front driveshaft spacer is also supplied along with longer hardware to allow the reinstallation of the factory driveshaft. A pair of BDS-branded sway bar drop brackets used to correct the operating angle of the factory sway bar as well as created a strong brace between the rear crossmember and the frame. Rounding out the front of this kit are new lower control arm cam bolts to allow alignment and a weld-in frame reinforcement plate for extra strength.

In the rear of this performance lift kit, the factory block is replaced with a tall lift block and longer u-bolts to lift and level the stance. Also included, BDS supplies brake line and ABS line brackets allow the use of factory brake lines. Rear damper capacity is improved by your choice of specially tuned FOX 2.0 IFP Performance Series gas shocks or upgrade to the FOX 2.5 Performance Elite Series shocks with remote DSC reservoir to match the front performance. All kits come finished in a durable textured black powder coat and sent with all hardware packs to complete the install along with step-by-step installation instructions.

If you're looking to optimize performance and capability this 4" coilover system is for you. While these kits net 4" of lift on a Trail Boss/AT4, ride height is similar to a 6" lift on a standard GM1500 truck. Building on the tried-and-true BDS high clearance design these kits maintain on-road handling and performance while upping the ante with FOX 2.5 factory race series remote reservoir coilovers for truly next level performance on any terrain. These coilovers are available in standard or DSC (dual speed compression) adjustable versions and pair with a set of FOX 2.0 IFP performance series rear shocks.
